Frank Sinatra · 1969
Origins
Originally "Comme d'habitude" by Claude François in 1967. Paul Anka rewrote the English lyrics entirely and handed them to Sinatra.
Context
Sinatra was near retirement when he recorded it. The lyrics felt like his own life story — doing things on his own terms, no regrets. One of his most iconic songs.

My take
I recorded a jazz improvisation on this one. The harmonies are rich — feel them before you play them.
